Practice-based relationship preparation for Christian singles

Brought to you by: Lifestyles of the Determined

Stop Guessing Your Way Through Dating

Prepare for the healthy, God-centered relationship you want before the stakes get real.

Build greater confidence in dating and communication. Learn to recognize healthy alignment sooner, navigate first dates and difficult conversations, and be able to discern whether you should continue to pursue a connection and when it’s wiser to walk away.

Practice, not pursuit.

What Relationship Prep Lab Can Help You Build

Recognize healthier relationship potential sooner

Strengthen your discernment so attraction, hope, or the desire to make something work doesn’t keep you from seeing whether you’re truly aligned.

Show up with greater confidence

Practice first-date conversations, communication, boundaries, pacing, and navigating difficult relational moments before the pressure gets real.

When to pursue and when to walk away

Learn how to recognize when a connection deserves intentional effort and when continuing would require you to overlook incompatibility, unhealthy patterns, your own wisdom, or something that God may be showing you.

What You’ll Actually Experience

  • Brief, practical teaching

  • Guided one-on-one relational exercises

  • Realistic role-play scenarios

  • Observation and facilitator feedback

  • Personal reflection

  • Opportunities to practice again

  • Clear boundaries that keep the focus on growth, not dating each other

Relationship Prep Lab doesn’t only teach you what healthy relationships require.

It gives you a structured place to practice how you show up in them.

RPL exists so that you don’t have to wait until the future of a relationship is on the line to discover how you communicate, respond, connect, pull away, overextend, or navigate challenging relational moments.

Why Relationship Prep Lab Exists

Many singles are expected to know how to build a successful relationship from something that they were never taught.

They may deeply desire a healthy, God-centered relationship but have never seen healthy love modeled, had the opportunity to practice having difficult conversations in a supportive setting, or received honest feedback about their relational patterns.

Instead, many people are trying to learn communication, emotional regulation, discernment, boundaries, pacing, trust, repair, and confidence while they’re already inside the intensity of romantic interest.

And if you’re here, you know that isn’t easy!

Tell me, do any of these sound familiar?

  • You want marriage, but every time you try to date, it never really seems to work out.

  • You have so much love to give, but when you meet someone, you feel like you don’t even know how to date anymore.

You find yourself wondering:

  • What do I say, and how do I say it?

  • What is too soon?

  • Am I asking for too much?

  • What’s actually normal and what topics are too heavy for a first date?

  • How do I know if I shared too much, moved too fast, or ignored something I should have paid attention to?

  • Do I want this to work out so badly that I’m overlooking whether we’re truly aligned?

Because, same…

Over the years, I’ve found that a lot of singles are not only asking:

“How do I find someone?”

They’re asking questions like:

  • How am I supposed to have a healthy relationship if I’ve never actually seen a healthy relationship?

  • How do I even recognize the right person when I keep choosing the wrong people?

  • How do I not shut down, over-explain, people-please, or panic when conflict shows up?

  • I want marriage, but at the same time, the idea of it makes me want to run in the opposite direction. How do I stay?

  • So far, life and dating have taught me that things end. If I don’t know how healthy love is built, if relationships never work out, then how can I even learn to trust God in a relationship?

Relationship Prep Lab was created for the space between wanting a healthy relationship and knowing how to participate in one when God gives you the opportunity.

It exists to create a structured preparation space before the stakes get real.

Before the future of a relationship is on the line.

Relationship Prep Lab is being created for Christian singles who don’t just want another date.

They want to prepare for a healthier relationship with more clarity, confidence, discernment, emotional steadiness, and communication practice.

They want an opportunity to build awareness and actually get to practice relational skills before they’re trying to apply them inside of a real relationship.

Because what they really, really want is…

Their last first date.

Why Practice Matters

Anything we learn in life takes practice.

We practice what we learn in school. We practice driving before driving on our own. We go through training before we are expected to perform confidently in a career.

Relationships should be no different.

Premarital counseling helps couples prepare to enter marriage intentionally....

But what actually helps Christian singles prepare to enter a relationship intentionally?

Premarital counseling helps couples enter marriage intentionally. Relationship Prep Lab helps Christian singles enter relationships intentionally.

It brings preparation in earlier, before engagement, before premarital counseling, and before there is even a relationship to navigate.

And yet, relationships are often one of the only areas of life where people are expected to ‘just know’ what to do or how to do it, without ever having a place to practice.

Practice gives you room to learn without the full pressure and consequences of a real relationship.

It allows you to identify where you feel confident, notice where you get stuck, receive feedback, and work on the areas that need improvement before a misunderstanding, unrecognized pattern, or difficult moment jeopardizes the future of a relationship.

Relationship Prep Lab creates a unique opportunity to practice relational skills before you are already emotionally invested and trying to figure everything out in real time.

The heart of the concept is simple:

Practice creates awareness.

Awareness creates opportunity for change.

Change reinforced through repeated practice, creates better outcomes.

Is Relationship Prep Lab for You?

This may be for you if:

  • You’re a Christian single who is serious about marriage.

  • You’re tired of repeating the same dating and/or communication patterns.

  • You want stronger discernment, healthier boundaries, greater confidence, and deeper emotional awareness.

  • You’re willing to practice healthier ways of relating before entering another serious relationship.

  • You believe preparation matters.

You don’t just want another date. You want to be better prepared for a healthy relationship and,

God willing,

Your last first date.

Why I Created Relationship Prep Lab

I’m building Relationship Prep Lab because it’s something I needed.

I knew what unhealthy patterns felt like, but I did not grow up with a clear model of healthy love, communication, conflict, or repair.

At some point, I found myself asking:

How are we supposed to learn if we don’t have the opportunity to be in situations that allow us to learn?

Because at this point, all we’re learning is that things end...

Through my own healing, faith, coaching work, and years of learning to recognize patterns, I began to see how much relationship information exists and how few places give singles, especially 30+, an opportunity to practice what they’re learning.

Relationship Prep Lab was born from that gap.

I believe Christian singles deserve more than advice about finding a relationship. They deserve an opportunity to prepare for one, practice healthier ways of relating, receive feedback, build awareness, and become more intentional about how they enter and participate in a healthy, God-centered relationship when God gives them the opportunity for healthy love.

And that’s what Relationship Prep Lab will provide.
